These are the months that offer comfortable warmth without it getting too overbearing compared to the summer months. April and May are also the second and third lowest months for rainfall in Florida with 2.3 and 2.4 inches respectively.

A final selling point for April and May is that those months are still considered shoulder season. Kids are not out of school yet, and people who travel exclusively in the summer will not start yet, so you could save a few bucks with slightly lower crowds for area attractions .

Two other months worth considering are November and December. November is technically in hurricane season, but it is well past the peak risk compared to earlier months.

November and December have average high temperatures of under 80 degrees, and November is the lowest month for average rainfall at 1.8 inches.

Off-Peak Months (Money-Saving Opportunity)

The 2 off-peak months of the year to have a Madeira Beach condo rental are August and September. However, It is important to know there are money-saving opportunities in booking in August or September. Not to mention the beach is much less crowded. The discount and reason these 2 months are off-peak are due to the heavy rainfall from tropical storms and hurricanes.

September generally has at least one tropical storm or hurricane, while August is not far behind with about a 50% chance (much higher than 9 of the 12 months).

Rainfall is the highest in August with 8.2 inches per month. September is not far behind with 7 inches.

The Basics
John’s Pass Seafood & Music Festival will run from 1/22-1/24. Days and times…

This is a free event as well as the 2nd largest seafood festival on the East Coast. You’re going to stay busy when you’re here. The Toast
If you want to take part in the World’s Largest Bloody Mary & Bloody Mary Toast, be sure to be at the festival on Sunday at 1 p.m. Of course, it’s going to feel neat to be a part of this event because you’re creating a unique memory and you can tell your friends and family about it. However, the real value is in the moment.

This isn’t just an ordinary toast. It has a unique vibe, which leads to a celebratory mood afterward. If you like being around people that are in a good mood, then definitely plan to be at the festival on Sunday at 1 p.m.

John Levique Pirate Day
For those of you who don’t know, John’s Pass was formed in 1848 due to a major hurricane. It’s named John’s Pass and John’s Pass Village because John Levique was the local fisherman who found the pass. Today, John’s Pass Village is home to boutiques, restaurants, dinner cruises, Alligator Wildlife Discovery Center, and pirate invasions.

These aren’t real pirate invasions, but they are still quite adventurous. On Saturday, the Invasion Cruise & Boat Parade will depart from The Island Grille & Raw Bar at 9:45 a.m. and then invade John’s Pass at 11:30 a.m. It should be noted that this is part of the festivities isn’t free. It’s $75 per adult and $65 per child, which is 0-20 years old. The second pirate invasion cruise will run from 4:45 p.m.-8 p.m.

Once all pirates land, they can partake in a Pirate Costume Contest. There will be one for adults and one for children. Other activities include face painting, treasure hunt, water battle, parade, and pillage the village.

Once the invasion is complete, you will sail back to Tierra Verda, where you will enjoy a celebration victory with live music.

Condo Accommodations
In order to maximize your Madeira Beach Seafood Festival experience, it’s recommended that you arrive early and leave late. If you arrive the night before and leave the day after the event, you’re going to feel rushed and you’re not going to have an opportunity to experience the surrounding area, which is full of natural beauty and activities.

John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk

John’s Pass Village is a fishing village that has become a shopping destination. It was a turn-of-the-century fishing village that got its name when a hurricane created the pass in 1848. The first person through the pass was a pirate named John Levique. The village features over 100 shops, restaurants, and a fishing fleet.

Pirate Ship At John’s Pass

The Royal Conquest provides a 90-minute pirate adventure with dolphin watching, music, a dance party, water gun battles, pirate stories, a treasure hunt, snacks, and beverages. The two-story 46-foot ship holds 46 passengers and has been US Coast Guard (USCG) certified. The friendly crew of pirates always remain in character. Your children can also get in character with pirate hats, eye patches, and swords. It is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.

Alligator Attraction-Wildlife Discovery Center

The Alligator Attraction-Wildlife Discovery Center is both a rescue center and an educational center. They accept surrendered pets and orphaned wildlife such as alligators, lizards, snakes, sloths, fish, rabbits, pigs, guinea pigs, and skunks. In addition, it educates the public on caring for wildlife throughout the world. It is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm.

Eagle Parasail

Eagle Parasail offers state-of-the-art boats that will have you hundreds of feet in the air and provide a soft landing for anyone from five, the minimum age, to 95. Of course, you can choose a little dip in the water when you land. You can parasail alone or with one or two other people as long as the total weight is under 600 pounds. Depending on the number of guests, a cruise can last from 30 minutes to one hour. Eagle Parasail has 26 years of watersport industry experience. With over 100,000 parasail flights, their safety record is perfect, and their equipment is upgraded constantly. Hours of operation are daily from 9 am to 5 pm.

Hubbard’s Marina

Hubbard’s Marina offers five and ten hour deep sea fishing cruises, a 90-minute dolphin watching and nature eco tour, and kayak and paddleboat rentals. Deep sea fishing provides the opportunity to catch mackerel, black seabass, grey snapper, mangrove snapper, red grouper, camp grouper, gag grouper, mahi, kingfish, hogfish, and porgies. The dolphin watching tours cruise the back bay waters where you could see dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, an occasional bald eagle, herons, pelicans, egrets, osprey, and cormorants. Bring your camera and binoculars. Hubbard Marina is USCG certified and offers a snack bar on some tours. It is open daily from 6 am to 8 pm.

Foot De Soto Park

Fort De Soto Park is south of Madeira Beach. You can rent a kayak and explore the park’s mangroves to view the wildlife. Then, tour the fort followed by spending time at the two piers and the two beaches. Fishing is allowed at the pier.

Busch Gardens

Nearby, in Tampa, is Busch Gardens. It has all the rides and attractions that you expect of an amusement park as well as an animal conservation area with over 2,000 animals. View lions, tigers, cheetahs, zebras, hyenas, giraffes, elephants, and rhinos in the Serengeti Plain exhibit.
